Google Pixel 9 Series received a grand reception after its launch selling units faster than the moving bullet. Well, it is still too early to comment on future iterations, but we have heard Google Pixel 11 Series will see a major leap in performance thanks to a refined Google Tensor G6 SoC. Codenamed as ‘Malibu’, the tech giant will focus on performance, battery life and efficiency to name a few aspects where it can work wonders.

The latest details from the folks at Android Authority share key details about the upcoming Tensor G6 SoC. Although there are no figures available to support the claims, the Tensor G6 SoC is expected to arrive with better performance. It will join the wagon of Google’s in-house developed chip right after Tensor G5 (on Pixel 10 Series), allowing the search engine giant to have better control over the performance.

The publication does mention there won’t be a significant leap in performance, but there are a few areas where the giant will work on making your life a tad bit easier. First and foremost is the thermals.

If you happen to be a Pixel user, you would know it has issues with the thermals i.e., the phone gets hot when subjected to excessive performance. Now that the thermals are being taken care of, another pain point on Pixel devices has been around battery life and efficiency. Perhaps, we could see it change with upcoming iterations allowing the phones to outperform the competition.

Google is also working on reducing the price tags on its chipsets. It is estimated to bring a target price of $65 per Tensor G6 chip which is more than half of what the comparable Qualcomm chip costs. No doubt the reduced pricing will trickle down to the users making their phones a tad bit cheaper than the current generations of Pixel 9 series although take it with a pinch of salt.

As per the timeline is concerned, Google Pixel 10 Series with Tensor G5 SoC is coming in October 2025 while the Google Pixel 11 Series is coming in October 2026. This gives us a lot of time to ponder and grasp more information about the upcoming series and the chipsets powering them.
