Google is gearing up for the arrival of its highly anticipated flagship smartphone, the Pixel 8 series. According to recent leaks and reports, these new phones will have substantial breakthroughs in camera technology. The Pixel 8 Pro is reported to include a new and larger GN2 sensor with much brighter image quality.  Furthermore, both devices are said to form a solid 50MP primary camera. The addition of this new sensor significantly improves the smartphone’s capacity to catch the light, offering a 35% improvement in light intake over its predecessor.

The ISOCELL GN2 sensor can capture high-quality 8K video at 30 frames per second. This strong sensor, along with the new Tensor G3 CPU, is anticipated to substantially improve the photographic capabilities of the Pixel 8 smartphones. The Pixel 8 camera now supports Staggered HDR, which is a major new feature. This technique shortens the time between collecting HDR shots, resulting in higher shooting rates.
