Elon Musk shed lights on recent developments and new projects earlier this week, by providing us a brief insight on them, these recent works also introduced a work in progress semi-truck, which Tesla has in the works since last year. With a commitment to uncover the massive project in this fall (September 2016), Elon has already begun teasing the rig at today’s TED talk, with a hazy first look.

All that is pursuable from the little sneak peak is that the truck appears to be tranquil, and more modern over your common variants available, following Tesla’s futuristic prospects, taking design leads from the company’s cars — for the headlights and contemporary appearance. The poly-company possessor’s choice of words to define the vehicle: a “spry” trick, make it sound lively, therefore implying that the truck will seemingly be undemanding and snug to drive — dynamic in nature like a sports car. Moreover, Musk claims he has already taken a prototype over a ride.
What is more exciting is that the big rig is said to outperform almost every current diesel-based trucks with its undemanding nature and efficient performance, according to Musk. Nevertheless, we will still have to wait till September to learn more about it when it is officially announced. On the other hand, Musk has been planning another huge Gigafactory this year, which Tesla has been referring to now and then. According to reports from Electrek, Musk has been in touch with Chinese Vice Premier Wang Yang, and their discourse might have comprised of the Gigafactory site setup.
