HMD Global unveiled the Nokia 7 Plus, Nokia 1, Nokia 6, and the Nokia 8 Sirocco at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) last month. Among them, the Nokia 1 was recently launched in India by the company for a price of Rs. 5,499. HMD Global has now sent out media invites for an event which is scheduled for April 4 in New Delhi. There are two sets of the invites and other than the timing and the venue of the event, neither of the two reveal anything about the devices which are scheduled to be launched.

Nokia 6 (2018) is the most anticipated device to be launched in the event alongside the Nokia 8110 4G and the Nokia 8 Sirocco model. However, Nokia 7 Plus is highly doubted to make an appearance at the event since we haven’t seen any Snapdragon 660 SoC device launched in India. Even if HMD Global launches the Nokia 7 Plus, it is most likely for the device to go on sale after a month or two after the announcement.

Juho Sarvikas, at the MWC event, stated that the devices will be possible for an Indian launch around May or June, but it seems like Nokia has surprised everyone with an early launch. The Nokia 8 Sirocco is Nokia’s flagship device for 2018, at least until the rumoured Nokia 9 is announced. The successor to the Nokia 8 from last year is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor and runs on Android 8.0 Oreo while sporting a 5.5-inch POLED 2K display with Gorilla Glass for protection. The dual rear cameras of the devices include ZEISS lens with 12MP+13MP shooters. The smartphone comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

The Nokia 6 (2018) is an upgraded version of its predecessor and was unveiled in China this year. It will be powered by Snapdragon 630 SoC coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. It packs a 16-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera. Along with these two devices, the Nokia 8110 4G is also expected to be launched which now comes with a new design and runs on KaiOS that now supports Facebook and WhatsApp app.
