Huawei Honor V10 Launched With 18:9 Display and Kirin 970 Chipset.

Honor the sister brand of Huawei just recently launched their much-awaited budget killer the Honor 7X in India, the successor to the Honor 6X who introduced dual camera setup to the mid-range devices. Looks like Honor is all set to release their device with a display which is a trend nowadays.

The Honor V10 features a 5.99-inch 2160×1080 display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. Honor debuted the device at an event in Beijing on Tuesday and gave the first look at the phone’s design and also the specification list.

Despite being a device which has a high screen to body ratio they managed to fit in the front facing fingerprint sensor. Honor has been placing the fingerprint sensor at the rear and it doesn’t make much sense that they are placing it in the front this time.

Taking a look at the internal hardware, the V10 comes with Huawei’s in-house octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 970 chipset. As far as the camera is concerned the V10 sports a dual camera setup at the rear with one sensor of 16-MegaPixel sensor and the other one with 20-Megapixel sensor with a f/1.8 aperture. Honor V10 doesn’t support OIS. The front camera packs in a 13-MegaPixel sensor with f/2.0 aperture.

The device packs in a decent 3750mAh sized battery with support for SuperCharge which basically means fast charging. Honor V10 has a hybrid dual-SIM setup and the almighty 3.5mm headphone jack.

The Honor V10 is available for pre-orders in China and are expected to go on sale from December 5. V10 comes in three variants 4GB/64GB and 6GB/64GB and 8GB/128GB. The pricing for the phone starts from CNY 2699(Rs.27,000), CNY 2999 (Rs.30,000)and CNY 3499(Rs.35,000)  respectively.

The Honor V10 comes with Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box with EMUI 8.0 on top of it. The V10 will be available in China I’m red, black, blue and gold variants.
