After the feud with the first foldable phone, Huawei is trolling Samsung in order to roll out a smartphone with Infinity-O display even before Samsung could roll out its first smartphone with the newly released display. Samsung unleashes the Infinity-O flex displays at the SDC 2018 and stated that Samsung Galaxy A8s will be the first device to get it but per Huawei’s latest teaser image posted on Weibo, Huawei could release a smartphone with the Infinity-O display before Samsung could launch it too.
Samsung currently holds the position of the most shipped smartphones in the world, a position that it has been interchanging with Apple for the last 5 or more years while averting any other brand from reaching the figure but recently, Huawei took down Apple after being christened as the second largest smartphone manufacturer in terms of units shipped and currently, the Chinese smartphone brand is leaving no stones unturned to take down Samsung to grab the first position.
It took Samsung years of research and development before it could tease it’s first foldable smartphone i.e. Galaxy F at the SDC 2018 but before it could do so, Huawei made it claims to unleash a foldable phone before Samsung could although that plan went haywire since Huawei is nowhere to be seen at Galaxy F teaser event at SDC 2018. Well, Huawei has taken an another approach to climb the ladder of the largest brand by posting an image on its handle on Weibo teasing that it will launch a smartphone with Infinity-O display with a hole punched on the left side of the screen for front camera and thus, eradicating the need to have any kind of notch.
The image teases ‘December’ as it’s speculated date which is coincidentally when South Korean brand Samsung is rumored to launch Samsung Galaxy A8s with Infinity-O display. Although there are no confirmed dates from both the brands, sources suggest that Huawei could opt for a launch slot before Samsung could hold one in order to spike its sales and get the title of the first OEM in this category.
Popular leakster Ice Universe posted the image from Huawei on Twitter, however, there are no dates available as said. It is said that Huawei could launch yet another variant from Nova 3 with the moniker Nova 3S or even the next-gen Nova 4 with an Infinity-O display. What do you guys think about Huawei’s plans to beat Samsung in its own game? But do you know what? Samsung could let Huawei win and there are many reasons why watch this video to know why.
