Remember the Huawei tri-fold smartphone we were talking about just a few days ago? Well, it is indeed coming on September 10th as the Chinese smartphone maker has officially confirmed a launch event on this very day.
Huawei Tri-Fold Phone Teaser
Huawei took it to Weibo to talk about a ‘grand ceremony’ event scheduled for September 10. Although the event is taking place to reveal new products, it doesn’t specifically mention a tri-fold device. Instead, it mentions keywords like ‘most innovative and unique product’.
Yu Chengdong — Chairman of Huawei Consumer Business Group, mentions that they have been working on this innovative product for ages and that the epoch of creation is here. It is quite safe to assume that what we are going to witness is the world’s first-ever tri-fold smartphone even before the Xiaomi tri-fold device makes its debut.
Another highlight is the invite poster itself as it shows a Z-type fold which highlights a tri-fold device. The event is happening on September 10th at 14:30 pm local time.
There’s also an Aito M9 electric vehicle (EV) in the works with the teaser showing a five-seat configuration. It is likely to be launched as a joint project between Huawei and Seres and will have LiDAR sensors, facial recognition, and HarmonyOS out-of-the-box with voice assistant Celia on-board.
