Huawei entered the smart TV industry last year with the launch of Huawei Vision Smart TV and Honor Vision both boasting the company’s proprietary Hongmeng OS which is released as an alternative to Google Android OS. With that being said, Huawei has made another progress in the smart TV industry with the launch of its latest Huawei Vision Smart TV X65.

It comes with the first-ever OLED panel and not just any ordinary but a self-illuminating 65-inch 4K OLED panel with tiny bezels around the edges giving it a higher screen-to-body ratio. Apparently, the smart OLED TV is just 24.9mm thick and comes equipped with plenty of features and high-end processors to run its various components.

Starting with the spinal cord of the TV, it is a Honghu 898 flagship chipset that Huawei’s HiSilicon developed to OLED panels. The processor is equipped with advanced multi-channel sensors that tweak the color and speed among other factors to pull off a natural display rather than over or under blowing the details. The darks are precisely detailed and deep which improves image quality as well. It is also the first large-screen display to get certified from German TUV Rheinland for eye comfort and safety.

Moving on, on the top bezel, we have a 24MP ultra-wide-angle AI camera that swings into action when you want to video call someone directly from your TV. It is supported by HiSilicon Hi3559C chipset with dual NPU and 4T computer power that enables it to perform various tasks such as taking and processing air gestures to control both the audio and the video of the TV.

Now that you are getting a large display, you wouldn’t wanna compromise over audio quality, right? Apparently, the Huawei Vision Smart X65 does that with its 14 speakers mounted across the frame with 5.1 channels and an output of 75W. Furthermore, it has a 3D smart sound field that detects the sound field around it via processing the spatial structure to tweak its speakers into producing sound effects that resonate with the spatial scene. Note that the listen above aren’t the only features since there’s HiFitness as well as some from Hongmeng OS and others.
