Today on December 5, Huawei Consumer Business Group in India has finally launched the much-awaited Huawei Watch GT 2 in India which comes with a bunch of features including sports mode, 2 weeks of battery life, Bluetooth calling, and more. It also hails as the onset of Huawei’s in-house Kirin A1 that will introduce the smartwatch with higher-end capabilities and functionalities with an optimum performance like no others.
Huawei released Watch GT 2 basically in two sizes i.e. 46mm and 42mm each with different trims and prices accordingly.
Talking about the Huawei Watch GT 2 (42mm), it packs in a smaller 1.2-inch circular Super AMOLED panel with a resolution of 390×390. The smartwatch uses HiSilicon Kirin A1 which is a powerhouse especially made for wearables. It packs in an ultra-low-power consumption application processor, audio processing unit, advanced Bluetooth processing unit, and a separate power management unit that makes it one of the most powerful SoCs for smartwatches.
The device is equipped with a bunch of sensors including air pressure, ambient light, capacitive sensors, gyroscope, accelerometer, geomagnetic, and optical heart rate sensor that allows it to keep track of every move you make. In fact, the Watch GT 2 can track up to 15 different sports both indoor and outdoor, such as running, hiking trail running, walking, swimming, cycling, free training, rowing machine, triathlon, etc.
The 42mm watch runs on LiteoS from Huawei with built-in speakers and microphones for calling or listening to music. It can store up to 500 songs that you can listen to without headphones if you want. Talking about the technologies it has on-board, the device lasts for a week on a single charge on its 215mm battery.
The elder 46mm sibling has a larger 1.39-inch circular super AMOLED panel with a screen resolution of 454×454. It is available in trims such as Leather, Black, and Metal although with a different price tag on it. The best thing about the smartwatches is that it has a 3D glass face that offers a bezel-less vision with world-class design.
It is also equipped with the latest Kirin A1 dual-chip that makes use of intelligent power-saving technology combined with its 455mAh battery that takes its battery life to 2 weeks on a single charge.
The device is equipped with a bunch of features which is what makes it ideal for fitness enthusiasts such as TruSeen 3.5 helps track indoor and outdoor activities with precision heart rate monitoring and more. It is also equipped with TruSleep 2.0 and TruRelax along with Message Notification, Bluetooth calling, and more.
About the pricing, the 42mm variant is available with just one trim at INR 14,990/-. Furthermore, the 46mm variant is available in three trims with pricing as per Black (Sports) at INR 15,990/-, Leather at Rs 17,770/- and finally, Metal variant is available at INR 21,990/-. Now that Huawei Watch GT 2 is available in India, it will be up for online and offline across Flipkart, Amazon, Croma, and other retail stores.
