In the photos, someone’s holding this unknown iPhone next to what looks like the current iPhone Pro. The camera area gives it away a bit. Anyway, cutouts for the flash and LiDAR sensor are there, and honestly, it looks like something we haven’t seen before. This is why most people think it’s the iPhone 17 Pro.

Apple’s next event might be sooner than you think
From what I’ve seen, we’re probably just a few weeks away from the launch. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman said it might happen around the week of September 8th. Apple usually avoids launching on Mondays and Fridays. Also, they won’t pick September 11 for obvious reasons.
So most likely, it’s going to be either Tuesday the 9th or Wednesday the 10th. Again, not confirmed, but that’s what it’s looking like.
Why the phone is covered in that big case
Apple has been doing this for years. When they test new iPhones in the real world, they put them in bulky cases to make sure no one can really figure out the design. But sometimes it backfires, like this one.
