When the Nexus 6 was launched last year, people complained about its unnaturally huge 6 Inch QHD display and its price of 649$. All the nexus fans and the developers were crazy as Google had made such a decision. Everyone wanted a next generation to the Nexus 5 which would be available at a cheap price point so that everyone could experience stock android within a attractive package at an inexpensive price point. That didn’t happen last year, but this year it is likely that the Nexus 5X, which is likely to be the next generation to the Nexus 5, will be launched on September 29th.
We said likely because we don’t have any confirmation yet from the Google HQ about the actual name of this device. According to our sources, the name will probably be Nexus 5X which makes sense as Google does not like to add a suffix to their Nexus lineup like “Nexus 5 2015” or “Nexus 5 2nd Generation”
Leaks and Rumours of Nexus 5X
According to the leaks, the Nexus X2 will likely support a rear mounted finger print scanner along with the elevated camera lens and dual LED flash on the back side. At the bottom, we notice the latest USB Type C port which is reversible but not very common in use in the present. Therefore you will likely need an USB-C to Micro USB adapter to use your existing micro USB cables with the device.
The device will likely cost 50$ more than the previous generation which was available at 349$ during its launch. Therefore the device will be available at likely 399$ for the 16 GB version and 449$ for the 32 GB which is cheap but not as cheap as the Nexus 5.
Overall the info is not final as we haven’t got any finalized details regarding the Nexus 5X from the Google HQ. Does the 400$ price tag attract you? What do you think about the device? Let us know in the comments below.
