If you are still with me, let’s check out the listicle right away without any further ado.
Smartphones launching in January 2026
Honor Power 2 (China)
Launch Date: January 5
Honor Power 2 is launching early January with a powerful USP, i.e., a giant 10,080mAh battery under the hood. Supplied with Dimensity 8500 Elite SoC, 50MP triple cam, and an iPhone 17 Pro Max-inspired design, the phone is launching in China, surpassing that of Honor Win and Win RT’s 10,000mAh capacities while belittling its predecessor, which had an 8,000mAh battery instead. The phone launches in China first before making it to other markets, if at all.
Redmi Note 15 5G (India)
Launch Date: January 6
Slated for a January 6 launch in India, Redmi Note 15 5G packs in a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 SoC under the hood. There’s a beefy 5,520mAh battery alongside 45W fast charging tech, all enclosed in a 7.35 mm thick metallic frame with a centrally-aligned squaricle camera bump featuring a massive 108MP primary camera with OIS and 4K. A 6.7” curved AMOLED panel sits on top, boasting 3,200 nits of peak brightness along with a 120Hz refresh rate. There’s also an IP66 rating against splashes and dust.
We might see Redmi Note 15 Pro and Note 15 Pro+ boasting similar specs, 6000+ mAh batteries, and triple rear camera setups, to name a few. The entry-level Note 15 series is expected to fetch a price tag of INR 25,000/- while the base Pro+ will reach INR 40,000+. However, give it a pinch of salt as the confirmed pricing and specs remain wrapped in mystery.
Realme 16 Pro series (India)
Launch Date: January 6, 2026
Realme is launching two new smartphones under the Realme 16 series. The base Realme 16 Pro 5G packs in a MediaTek processor plus a 200MP industry-leading all-zoom sensor, and promises three years of OS and four years of security patch updates. A bright 6,500 nits illuminates the display while a beefy 7,000mAh battery takes care of the power requirements on the device. Choose between Orchid Purple, Master Gold, and Pubble Grey colorways.
Sliding slightly on the higher end, we have Realme 16 Pro+ 5G packing in a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 SoC, a 200MP periscope camera, and Android 16-based Realme UI 7.0 out of the box. You will get three years of Android and four years of security patches updates on the device. There’s a 7,000mAh battery under the hood paired with 80W fast charging tech. You can choose between Master Grey, Master Gold, and Camellia Pink on the Pro+.
Motorola Edge 70 Ultra (China)
Launch Date: January 7, 2026
Motorola has started teasing a new smartphone under a ‘Signature’ tagline, probably dubbed as Motorola Edge 70 Ultra. The thing is, the phone is internationally known as Edge 70 while the Chinese iteration is called Motorola X70 Air. Finally, we could see the phone arrive as either the Edge 70 Ultra, X70 Air Pro, or the Edge 70 Signature, unless all these models are different (which is unlikely).
Anyway, the upcoming flagship is tipped to feature Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC, 16GB of RAM, a 6.7” OLED 1.5K 120Hz panel, and will rival Apple iPhone 17 Air. Do note that we are talking about SD8 Gen 5, which is a flagship of yesteryears. It remains unknown why Motorola wants to go for a less powerful chipset when other brands are picking up Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoCs, such as the upcoming Galaxy S26 Ultra.
POCO M8 series (India)
Launch Date: January 8, 2026

POCO has been teasing the upcoming POCO M8 series for quite some time. Slated for a big unveil on January 8, the series comprises two models, i.e., POCO M8 and M8 Pro. The POCO M8 Pro is a slightly powerful variant of the Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus, with a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 SoC, 8/12GB RAM, and 256/512GB of storage. A meaty 6,500mAh battery sits under the hood, supplied by a 100W charging tech. There’s a 6.83” AMOLED 120Hz panel on board.
Poco M8 goes for a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 SoC and with at least 8GB/256GB of storage configuration. It does, however, pack in a smaller 5,520mAh battery pack with up to 45W charging tech.
OnePlus Turbo 6 series (China)
Launch Date: January 8, 2026
OnePlus Turbo 6 series is in line for launch on January 8 at 7 pm local time. There are two models in the works: Turbo 6 and Turbo 6V. The standard Turbo 6 is touted to arrive with a slightly watered-down Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 SoC plus a 1.5K resolution boasting a refresh rate of 165Hz. A massive 9,000mAh battery takes on the challenge of supplying the power needed, while an 80W wired tech ensures your phone juices up before you can finish a meal. You can choose between Wild Green, Lone Black, and Chasing Light Silver color options. There’s a triple rear camera on board.
The Turbo 6V is another model launching on January 8 with a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 SoC, plus a 1.5K 6.8” display boasting a refresh rate of 144Hz, plus up to 16GB of RAM. OnePlus Turbo 6V is available in three colors: Lone Black, Fearless Blue, plus Nova White. This model, too, has a 9,000mAh battery under the hood, possibly with the same 80W wired charging tech.
Vivo X300 Ultra (China)
Launch Date: Q1 2026
Vivo X300 Ultra is still holding its debut for 2026, and we might see the same happening in Q1 2026, probably in January, at least keeping the Chinese launch in mind. Vivo X300 Ultra brings a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, two 200MP and periscope telephoto camera, and a 7000mAh battery pack with 100W wired charging tech. It is interesting, given the phone is heading for its global launch as well sometime in Q1 2026, probably just a few weeks after its Chinese debut.
Vivo X200T (India)
Launch Date: End of January 2026
Vivo is set to launch the X300 Ultra in the global market soon; however, it seems to touch base with the X200 series as well. The Vivo X200T, an unusual moniker for a phone, is set to arrive sometime towards the end of January 2026. It is considered a mix of X200 and X200 FE, and will be available in India, albeit outdated, given that X300 and X300 Pro are currently ruling the market.
Vivo X200T brings a 6.31” panel, the performance DNA from 200, and a Zeiss branding on its cameras. There’s a 6,500mAh battery taken from X200 FE paired with a 90W wired fast charging tech. We could say X200T is actually a better variant of X200 FE, thanks to a slightly better chipset and an alleged price tag of around INR 60,000 in India.
Nubia RedMagic 11 Air
Launch Date: January 2026*
Synonymous with the king of gaming, the Nubia RedMagic is launching another flagship phone, keeping the ‘slim’ segment in mind. Dubbed as RedMagic 11 Air, the phone is slated to debut in China first with up to 24GB RAM, a signature active cooling turbo fan, and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC under the hood. We have a 6.85” AMOLED panel with no notch (rather an under-display selfie shooter), a giant battery pack under the hood, and a 50MP primary cam on the rear.
A listing on TENAA and other databases mentions storage of up to 1TB, 1 16MP front, and two 50MP rear cameras. The battery pack is expected to be 7,000mAh as opposed to 6,000mAh on the predecessor. The ‘Air’ phone is expected to debut in January, so let’s keep fingers crossed and wait until something is officially out.
Wrapping up!
