Turns out we have two major flagship phones locking horns against each other, becoming the first Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, there’s a Game of Thrones edition, and a few more offerings this month.

Vivo V60e

At first, we have the Vivo V60e, confirmed to launch on October 7. It is a successor to Vivo V50e and brings a Dimensity 7300 SoC under the hood. There’s a 200MP OIS primary cam on-board plus 8MP ultrawide setup that makes up its rear camera assembly while the front is a 50MP shooter. The phone’s screen is protected by the ultra-strong Diamond Shield Glass, which is Corning’s equivalent.

Vivo V60e features a quad-curved OLED 120Hz panel with slim bezels on the sides. A 6,500mAh battery is housed under the hood, along with 90W wired charging technology that powers the device. It is expected to be available in three configurations, including: 8/128GB, 8/256GB, and 12/256GB.

Moto G06 Power

Moto G06 Power is coming to India on October 7, and the teaser is already out. Flipkart India will be hosting the launch. It mentions a lot of details thanks to the microsite.

Specs-wise, Moto G06 Power packs in a 6.88” 720 × 1640 LCD panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and a Gorilla Glass 3 sits on top. About the performance, a MediaTek Helio G81 Extreme sits under the hood paired with 4/8GB RAM and 64/128/256GB of built-in storage. The phone brings the segment’s leading 50MP quad-pixel camera at the back and an 8MP front shooter for selfies. 

The Moto G06 Power comes with Android 15 out of the box and not Android 16, released way back in June this year; however, it is what it is. The phone uses a vegan leather design with Pantone curated colors, IP64 water resistance, and Stereo Speakers.

OnePlus 15

Think about it, both OnePlus and Xiaomi are locking horns against each other to launch the first-ever Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen5 SoC at least in the global markets, but let’s see. Talking about the upcoming launch, the OnePlus 15 is likely to arrive in China this month, with an Indian and global launch scheduled for early next year.

As aforementioned, the OnePlus 15 packs in a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen5 SoC, a beefy 7,000mAh battery under the hood (some say it’s 7,300mAh) paired alongside 100W wired tech. The phone brings a design similar to the OnePlus 13s with a compact form factor, a 6.78” LTPO OLED panel boasting a resolution of 1.5K and a refresh rate of 165Hz, a major upgrade from the regular 120Hz that previous flagship models offered. Additionally, we have OnePlus’s in-house DetailMax Engine cameras. 

Vivo X300 Series

Vivo is a pioneering Chinese smartphone brand with smartphones across a wide range of customer categories. One such is the premium Vivo X300 series launching on October 13 in China. With at least two models in the pipeline — the Vivo X300 and X300 Pro, both devices are expected to bring better screens, a larger display, and a MediaTek processor to go by. We are talking about the DImensity 9500 SoC, the flagship that will show its muscle once it’s there.

Spec-wise, the vanilla Vivo X300 features a 6.31” LTPO panel, a 200MP shooter, a 6000mAh battery, and 90W charging technology. The Vivo X300 Pro, on the other hand, packs in a slightly larger 6.78” display, wireless charging, and a much larger battery pack.

Oppo Find X9 Series

Oppo Find X9 Series is the next to arrive with a Dimensity 9500 SoC. The launch is scheduled to happen on October 16 in China, followed by a global launch sometime later, probably in November. The series comprises Find X9 and Find X9 Pro; there’s up to 16GB RAM and 1TB of storage. The duo packs in a combination of a max 200MP Samsung HP5 periscope lens plus a 50MP Samsung JN5 ultra-wide camera setup. 

The standard model has a 6.59” OLED 1.5K resolution, an R-angle curved, and ultra-narrow equilateral bezels around the edges. Both devices have reached NBTC in Thailand, bearing model numbers CPH2797 and CPH2791.

Xiaomi 17 Series

The Chinese Xiaomi 17 series already made it through, and now, we are hoping for an Indian debut with the stunning Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen5 SoC under the hood. We expect little to no changes for the global launch, so you get a 6.3” to 6.9” 1.5K OLED panel that brightens up to 3,500 nits, a beefy 7,000mAh battery, and Qualcomm AI Engine under the hood that takes care of the on-device AI features. 

Originally, the series comprises three models, i.e., the standard Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Pro, and Pro Max, each with slightly better overall specs than the previous. We are hoping the series, or at least some (if not all) models, will arrive in mid-October, although take it with a pinch of salt.

Realme GT 8 Pro

Realme is gearing up for a major launch, aka the Realme GT 8 Pro, that brings the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen5 SoC under the hood. This makes the Realme GT 8 Pro one of the earliest adopters of the elite flagship chipset, at least when the Indian launch is concerned. Speaking about the specs, the phone is likely to bring on board a 2K AMOLED 144Hz panel boasting a brightness of 7,000 nits. There’s a 7,000mAh battery under the hood with 120W wired and an unknown speed for wireless charging tech.

As we see most of the flagship phones gaining a 200MP periscope telephoto lens, Realme GT 8 Pro chips in with a 3x optical and 12x lossless zoom. There’s Realme UI 7 based on Android 16 right out of the box. 

Other launches

Although we aren’t certain, there are way too many phones that are speculated in the list of smartphones launching in October 2025. It includes Moto X70 Air, Realme P3 Lite 4G, Honor Magic V6, and Honor Magic 8 Series.
