Google’s annual Made by Google Pixel launch event usually happens in October. However, it seems like every smartphone maker is moving their dates forward. Turns out the next-gen Pixel event will happen on August 13 and Google has already started sending out the invites.
Made by Google is on August 13
For the unversed, Google’s Pixel hardware launch typically happens in October annually. This is when we get to see the new lineup of Pixel devices, Pixel Watch, and Android OS. However, this year, Google is pulling off something unprecedented. It is organizing the event two months early i.e., in August (Aug 13 to be precise) at 10 am PT at Google Bay View, Mountain View, California.
Although Google hasn’t divulged any information on what exactly we would see, the invite says it all — ‘Google AI’, ‘Android Software’, and ‘Pixel Portfolio of Devices’. Turns out it doesn’t require a rocket science degree to ascertain what the search engine giant is talking about.
We will get to see the trio of Pixel 9 devices — Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and Pixel 9 Pro XL. If the leaks are true even a bit, we should get a Pixel 9 Pro Fold in the mix as well although that remains to be confirmed as of now. Pixel Watch 3 will make its debut as well or it could be a combination of either of the aforementioned devices.
The invite mentions ‘Android Software’ which is an obvious clue at Android 15 that has been in testing for almost half a year now. ‘Google AI’ got a mention on the invite as well which is probably how Google would introduce a host of Google AI features across the Pixel lineup. Of course, we could still see more as Google has a lot in its pipeline.
