Motorola gave us super affordable Moto E20 with Android 11 Go and now, it is working on reprising the series with another addition dubbed s Moto E40. The phone is reportedly based on Moto G20 although we will take it with a pinch of salt. A leakster has revealed several details about the smartphone with a lot of gaps to fill.
The Moto E40 according to EV Leaks suggests that the phone packs in a 6.5-inch Max Vision HD+ 90Hz display. For context, the E20 arrives with the same size but with a standard 60Hz refresh rate. This has put a lot of weight that the E40 will arrive with a full-fledged Android 11 instead of its Go edition since there’s no smartphone running on Android Go versions with HRR as of now.
Moto E40 will pack in an 8-core SoC which isn’t doubted. However, there are no details on which processor the phone will be using. The Moto E20 used a Unisoc T606 SoC which has an 8-core arrangement including two Cortex-A75 cores and six Cortex-A55 cores. We could likely see a slightly better SoC although T606 isn’t that bad. The Moto G20 on which the E40 is expected to be based on uses a higher T700 chipset instead.
There have been a tonne of leaks w.r.t. Moto E40 including the 6.5-inch HD+ display with 1600×720 pixels resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate as mentioned above. Also, the phone is likely to sport a 48MP triple rear camera setup with the other two benign either an ultrawide+depth/macro or it will be a depth + macro setup.
There are no words on the battery from Motorola although rumors have it that the phone will pack in a 5,000 mAh battery with 10W or 15W charging support. In any case, take it with a pinch of salt until more information doesn’t arrive.
