As soon as OnePlus teased the first image of their upcoming smartphone, everyone called it an iPhone 7 Plus clone because of its camera placement. But there is much more to the design of the OnePlus 5 than its dual cameras, at least this report believes so based on an image of the phone they got hold of.
The close-up shot provided by Android Central shows the top corner of the OnePlus 5 with its Alert Slider and an antenna band. The report focuses on how the metal on the back meets the display glass on the front and how it is almost entirely different from the iPhone 7 Plus.
OnePlus 5’s flat side is mentioned to be the point of difference from that of the iPhone 7. The attached image also shows an iPhone 7-like antenna bands and OnePlus’s iconic Alert Slider. The pattern on the slider is profoundly visible and it should give a better grip when sliding the button.
There is another image coming from Technoblog (via Slash Leaks) which shows the OnePlus 5 in its full glory. Although dark, the design of the phone is visibly akin to the recently leaked OnePlus 5 images, including the one teased by the company itself.
The specifications mentioned along with the image include a 5.5-inch full HD display, 6/8GB RAM, 64/128GB ROM, 20MP+16MP rear cameras, and a 3300 mAh battery. We have already exclusively confirmed the two RAM and storage variants along with their Indian pricing.
According to our sources, the OnePlus 5 will be priced at Rs. 32,999 for the 3GB RAM and 64GB storage variant, while the variant with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage will cost Rs. 37,999.
OnePlus 5 is scheduled to launch internationally on June 20th and the Indian launch will happen on June 22nd. The phone will go on sale here in India on the same day and will be an Amazon India exclusive device. There was also reports about OnePlus bringing back the invite system, but the company later confirmed otherwise.
