The recently launched Nokia 8 is a great smartphone but it still doesn’t stand among the flagships from companies like Samsung and LG. The reason? Its uninspiring design language that is nothing like a 2017 Android flagship smartphone. Nokia took notice of this flaw and will be most probably be coming out with another flagship quite soon that will have a better design.

This new leak somewhat confirms the speculation and shows Nokia 9 with thinner bezels around the display. However, the bezels aren’t as thin as the top tier phones like the Galaxy Note 8 and the LG V30, but they are still a welcomed move.

Overall, the design seems inspired from the Nokia 8 but with a few additions. First of all, the display of the alleged Nokia 9 seems to be curved from the sides, like the flagship Samsung smartphones are. The display then seamlessly blends into the back of the phone which also has a similar curve. A design aspect that Samsung has mastered.

Because of those thin bezels around the display, the fingerprint scanner has been moved to the back. This image of the Nokia 9 leaves no chance of an under-display fingerprint scanner to be seen anytime soon on a Nokia phone. A couple of images have been leaked of the Nokia 9 and they reveal the copper and blue colour options of the phone.

Over at the back, the Nokia 9 will most probably retain the dual-camera setup that was first seen on the Nokia 8. Zeiss optics are here to stay and Nokia is expected to make the camera even better than the previous generation.

These images initially surfaced on Baidu and Nokia Power House reported about them the first. The report mentions that the phone will come with 6GB/8GB of RAM and the storage capacity will be bumped up to 128GB. The phone will also be IP68 rated for being dust and water resistant.

As one would expect, these are mere speculations and rumours and there are high chances that we might end up seeing the Nokia 9 that is entirely different from this version. As me further towards 2018, we can expect more such leaks that provide more confirmed information about the next Nokia flagship.
