Nokia 9.3 and Nokia 7.3 expected to launch in August or September

HMD Global, the parent company of Nokia is planning to launch two smartphones three smartphones later this year. The two phones among these three are believed to be Nokia 9.3 PureView and Nokia 7.3. The event has reportedly been pushed back due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, according to an exclusive report by Nokia Power User (NPU), the company might launch the long-delayed Nokia 9.3 PureView flagship smartphone along with the Nokia 7.3, and also a mysterious device in Q3 2020.

Nokia 9.3 PureView is a successor to Nokia 9 PureView which was released by the company last year. Due to the health concerns in the wake of Coronavirus, Apple, LG, and Motorola are also forced to postpone the smartphone announcements for the time being. Now, if this device will be announced in August or September, around the same time the Samsung might as well unveil its Note 20 line-up and Huawei possibly will release its Mate 40. Not just that, that is the time when Google might toss its Pixel 5 series of smartphones.

As mentioned earlier, Nokia 7.3 which is a successor to Nokia 7.2 announced last year might as well join the launch of the Nokia 9.3 PureView. According to the recent reports, both the Nokia 9.3 PureView And Nokia 7.3 are currently undergoing the prototype testing phase. Evidently, there are two variants of the Nokia 7.3 which are undergoing this testing phase. One of the two variants supports 5G out of the box.

Nokia 9.3 PureView boasts a 6.29-inch P-OLED display with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels. As it is a Nokia device, one can expect a huge footprint with an arguably lesser screen-to-body ratio. The pixel density of this display is 467 PPI will be protected by Corning Gorilla Glass.

Underneath the hood, the device will be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset. Adreno 650 handles the graphic duties here. The device is expected to come in two variants this time. The lower variant comes with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of onboard storage whereas the top variant is expected to come with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage. There will be no support for storage expansion with an external MicroSD card.

As for the cameras, unlike its predecessor, the Nokia 9.3 PureView is expected to come with a Quad Rear Camera setup. The primary sensor is expected to be a 13 MP unit with f/1.7 aperture. The secondary sensor is a 13 MP Ultra-Wide angle unit with f/2.2 aperture. The territory sensor also a 13-megapixel unit, but a telephoto unit. The fourth sensor is also a 13 MP unit. On the front, there is a 24 MP selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture.

Nokia 9 PureView runs Android 10 out of the box. The in-display finger sensor, USB-Type C, 3.5 mm headphone jack also takes an account here. All this is backed by a 4500 mAh battery which does have support for fast charging as well.
