Nothing Phone (1) is probably not gonna be alone at its launch on July 12. Turns out an updated Nothing Ear (1) is in the works as well as per leakster Mukul Sharma of Stufflistings. The leakster came up with the image showing the updated Nothing Ear (1) which resembles that of the original Ear (1) released last year.
According to the reports, the upcoming Ear (1) does show minor changes. The Ear (1) branding on the back of the stem is replaced by “Ear (1) Stick” and it is a no-brainer that it will be called so once it arrives. Apart from that, the charging case looks like a stick which further strengthens our speculations on the nomenclature.
Nothing Ear (1) Stick is a truly wireless earphone (TWS) just like its predecessor. It appears as if Nothing is packing the same stuff in a new packaging although that remains to be seen. 9to5Google points out that although it is difficult to discern if Nothing Ear (1) Stick is using silicon tips, the tech giant could be targeting affordable pricing for the same just like how Apple did the same with AirPods Pro.
As per the charging case is concerned, it looks handy since it is rectangular and stick-like in shape and not as a regular TWS case. It would make it easier to slip the case into the pocket without getting any bulging in the pockets themselves.
Nothing Phone (1) with a custom-made Snapdragon 778G+ will be officially launched on July 12th. The Ear (1) Stick is likely to join the wagon too so let’s see what more we could find out by then.
