Nothing Phone (2a) has made quite a few headlines over the weeks until now. As of now, we officially know when it will make its debut. Nothing has confirmed the launch date of March 5th for the Nothing Phone (2a), and social media is spewing red-hot rumors regarding the specs, and yes, it’s a limited US release.

Nothing Phone 2a Launch Date Confirmed

We took the official update from Nothing’s X handle, so yes, Nothing Phone (2a) is making its global debut on March 5th at 11:30 AM GMT (that’s 6:30 AM ET), but there’s a catch.

Unlike its global release, Nothing Phone (2A) will arrive in the United States as a part of Nothing’s Developer Programme. It sounds, and in fact, it is like Nothing Phone (1)’s Beta Membership programme, where users got their handsets for $299 for testing purposes. Nothing Phone (2) made a countrywide launch instead, although it was compatible with AT&T and T-Mobile and not with Verizon for some reason. However, we can’t say the same for Nothing Phone (2a), as the information appears to be simply lacking.

For the unversed, Nothing Phone (2a) is a cheaper Nothing Phone as Carl Pei (Nothing CEO) addresses the pricing-conscious fans. It is expected to be priced under $430 in the US (EUR 400), although the final pricing is yet to be known. The Indian pricing is expected to be around INR 30,000, which makes sense, although let’s cross our fingers.

Nothing Phone (2a) Expected Specs

Coming to the primary topic, the phone will make its debut on March 5 as a cheaper version, probably between Phone (2) and the upcoming Phone (3) if we are not too optimistic. The phone is expected to get a MediaTek SoC, and the support is for the Dimensity 7200 SoC. Dylan Roussel is rooting for it, although Yogesh Brar points out that the phone is likely to pick the Dimensity 7200 Ultra instead.

Yogesh further mentions a 6.7” FHD+ OLED 120Hz panel, a 50MP primary + 50MP ultrawide rear snappers, and a 32MP shooter at the front. Additionally, the phone is expected to have 45W fast charging. The phone is likely to have no glyph interface, at least as per the previous leaked renders but take it with a pinch of salt.
