The OnePlus 5 is undoubtedly one of the most sought-after smartphones of 2017. Among the massive number of leaks about the OnePlus 5, there was one last week that said the phone would be unveiled on June 15. A new teaser image, however, suggests another launch date of June 20.

In a not-so-professional-looking image, the date 20 is encircled with ‘Save the date’ text written next to it and OnePlus logo at the bottom. The image was uploaded on Weibo, a Chinese social media network. The authenticity of the image couldn’t be confirmed as the uploader isn’t the company itself.

Many Weibo users are reporting other launch dates as well, that fall even further towards the end of the month reports DroidHolic. We must wait for the company to officially announce the launch date to clear out all this confusion.

If you don’t already know, the OnePlus 5 will feature a 5.5-inch display with probably QHD resolution and have either 6GB or 8GB of RAM. A Snapdragon 835 chip will power the phone while there will be a significantly larger battery pack along with Dash Charge 2.0.

OnePlus has already confirmed that the phone is going to be thinner as well as smaller in dimension than the OnePlus 3T. Since the phone’s display size won’t be changing, we expect the thinner bezels on all the sides to suffice for the reduced dimensions.

We had recently reported about the leaked camera samples clicked on the OnePlus 5 that confirm that the phone comes with dual camera setup. In fact, we were confirmed that the phone will have dual 16 MP sensors on the back and one of them would be a monochrome one.

With those images in hand and the fact that OnePlus is working with DxOMark, we are really looking forward to trying out the camera of the OnePlus 5.

Going by these launch dates, it seems that we will have to wait a little longer to get our hands on the OnePlus 5. The launch date should be confirmed by the company soon.
