OnePlus has started rolling out the latest OxygenOS 5.1.9 via OTA update for its latest flagship smartphone. OnePlus 6 recently went on sale and recorded millions of units sold in just a month after its launch. The smartphone users will soon receive the update via OTA on its stock software over the period of next few years. The size of the update is 342MB and brings along Google’s July Android Security Patch.
OnePlus 6 suffered a critical issue with its camera as it shot photos will shady oil painting effect that needs a fix. Finally, OnePlus has fixed the bugs tweaking the phone’s camera app as well as various other bugs. Most of the bugs were discovered by users and developers past month.

The first major improvement rolled out with OxygenOS 5.1.9 is the improved image quality. The bug that caused the photos to introduce oil painting effect has been fixed finally. Furthermore, OnePlus has also added beauty mode on its front camera for Selfie Portrait and much more.
OnePlus has added Google Lens mode with this update that works with the help of Google Lens AI image detection using phone’s camera app. On the software front, the smartphone maker has provided July Android Security Patch bundled with the OS update. The tech giant has also fixed issues of accidental touches that triggered ‘V’ gestures. Apart from the general bug fixes and improvements, OnePlus has extended support to Telia Finland VoLTE and VoWifi for its OnePlus 6 users.
The patch has optimized stable Wi-Fi connections along with improvements on Bluetooth connections when paired with car’ audio systems which must be stable for now.
