The rumors and leaks revealing the intrinsic details about OnePlus 6T and it’s launch next month has become aggressive. Just a few days ago, photos appeared on Weibo teaching the front display of so-called OnePlus 6T but we later found out that those photos were of Oppo R17 Pro. Now, another set of videos and photos have appeared on Weibo, a Chinese social networking site, that reveals much more.

Citing the photo, it shows the launch date for OnePlus 6T which is on October 17 in India with the tagline “Unlock The Speed” which is clearly the reference to its “In-display fingerprint scanner” that was confirmed by CEO Pete Lau and then, teased in an ad hosted by Amitabh Bachchan. Now, we aren’t sure if the photos are authentic or not but since the date selected is near Huawei’s Mate 20 Pro launch and since the advertisements have already been aired, we could assume that October 17 is the day.

OnePlus 6T's battery capacity leaks on Weibo, it will be 10% larger than OnePlus 6

If photos were not enough for you, a rendered video has been leaked too showing 360-degree OnePlus 6T which has similar design elements and form factor as its predecessor OnePlus 6 but with a pinch of difference. Firstly, the display is larger at 6.4-inch optic AMOLED display which is 0.12-inch larger than OnePlus 6. The display with has new Gorilla Glass 6 protection with an attractive waterdrop notch inspired by Oppo R17 Pro.

Although previous reports stated that OnePlus 6T will have a triple camera setup but it is highly unlikely and thus, we would go with the rear dual-camera setup with 16+20MP sensor along with a 25MP sensor at the front. The device will have Android 9.0 out-of-the-box with the skin of OxygenOS 9.0 that was rolled out recently.

The smartphone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 CPU with 6/8GB RAM variant and a 64GB/128GB/256GB internal storage variant similar to OnePlus 6. About the water-resistance, OnePlus 6T will be the first-ever certified water-resistant smartphone from OnePlus with IP67 or IP68 rating which was absent in OnePlus 6 even after being water resistant. This means that we will lose the headphone jack but we already know it since Carl Pei, CEO of OnePlus had officially confirmed the details a few days ago.

So, let’s assume that the event will be held on October 17 somewhere in India and we should get confirmation about the same in the coming days.
