The OnePlus One finally gets CM12 – Cyanogen
Finally after all the delays and the teaser earlier this week, Cyanogen finally started the OTA update of the Android Lollipop based Cyanogen OS 12 for the Oneplus One.
Cyanogen OS 12 (Android 5.0 Lollipop) will be rolling out to all Oneplus One devices, including the devices sold in India, where there was some confusion due to the conflict between Cyanogen and Oneplus in India. The Yu Yureka will receive the update “Very soon” according to the blog post on the Cyanogen blog. The Alcatel OneTouch Hero 2+ will be shipping with Cyanogen OS 11, and will receive the Cyanogen OS 12 update later.
Cyanogen OS 12 brings the Material Design to the Oneplus One with all the new Lollipop features, as well as their own features as the new Boxer-based Email app and in terms of theming, the biggest addition is the possibility to theme individual apps. The new Boxer app is offering the premium tier features including exchange support, multiple accounts, canned responses and many customization options.
Cyanogen OS 12 will be landing as a OTA update for all the Oneplus users over the coming hours and days. For the people who don’t want to wait, the OTA file is available here and on the Oneplus forum is a full guide on how to install it.
