Oppo is now working on their next flagship smartphone under the F series – Oppo F9 and Oppo F9 Pro. As per the previous leaks, the Oppo F9 will go official on 15 August. The device will first make its way to Malaysia, Indonesia, and Vietnam while India will be the first market where Oppo F9 Pro is going to arrive. The brand is teasing the smartphone for a long time revealing it bit by bit. In addition, some leaks and rumors leave nothing to our imagination.
We now know everything about the regular variant of the next flagship device from Oppo.
Oppo F9 and Oppo F9 Pro specifications
As per the report by a technology publication which goes by the name Android Pure, the regular variant is supposed to arrive with a 6.3-inch full HD+ water drop display. The device will be powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P60 chipset clocked at 2.0GHz. The predecessor Oppo F7 also comes with the same processor. The brand always updates the chipset in the F-series family while this time the opposite will happen. In terms of storage, there will be 4GB of RAM packed inside along with 64GB of internal storage. You’ll do get an option to expand the storage via MicroSD support up to 256GB.
In terms of optics, the device will come with a dual camera setup having a 16MP primary sensor and a 2MP secondary sensor. Both the sensors have an aperture of f/1.85. In front, there is a 25-megapixel selfie shooter which will support AI-related features and will arrive with an aperture of f/2.0. All of this will run on the ColorOS 5.2 likely to be on top of Android Oreo and a large 3,500 mAh battery backup.
As per the previous leaks, the device is supposed to come with the Corning Gorilla Glass 6 making it the first smartphone to feature it. On top of that, the device will support VOOC charging support. With this tech, you can get 2 hours of talk time by charging it for 5 minutes.
Most of the specifications do lines up with the previous leak when the device passed Bluetooth certifications.
Oppo F9 Pro official renders surfaced, to come with an Essential-like notch
Oppo posted some of the render images of their upcoming Oppo F9 and Oppo F9 Pro. The render images show an Essential-like notch on the front. The device will boast a higher screen-to-body ratio of 90.8% thanks to the triangular notch and tiny overall bezels on the sides.
According to another teaser, the smartphone is expected to arrive in two different colours – Sunrise Red and Twilight Blue. While there is no word on the price, we’re speculating more leaks to come forward. To recall, the brand is also working on another camera-centric smartphone under the R series – Oppo R17 and Oppo R17 Pro. Both the R series smartphones are expected to come with a whopping 10GB of RAM inside.
