OPPO has officially confirmed the OPPO Find X9 series launch date in China for October 16. The event will introduce two models, the Find X9 and Find X9 Pro. The launch of the Find X9 series coincides with the debut of MediaTek’s new Dimensity 9500 flagship chipset, making the Find X9 series one of the first smartphones to feature the new processor.
Software
OPPO will also reveal its new ColorOS 16 on October 15, one day before the Find X9 series launch. The new Find X9 phones will be the first to use this software, which is based on Android 16 and promises better performance, personalization, and new AI features.
Display
The OPPO Find X9 will use a new Tianma display with “super eye protection.” According to OPPO, the screen has full-brightness flicker-free dimming, high-frequency PWM dimming, and reduces harmful blue light to 4.7%. This is meant to lessen eye strain during long use, especially in low-light.
The display is built for a consistent 1-nit brightness across all apps and scenarios. It also has features that automatically adjust brightness and AI eye protection to suit your environment. The screen can reach a peak brightness of 3600 nits, which ensures good visibility and color in both bright and dim light.
OPPO states it developed the entire “Bright Eye Protection Screen” production process itself, including the design, manufacturing, and calibration, to ensure consistent quality across all devices.
Camera
The OPPO Find X9 Pro will feature a LYT-828 sensor with the industry’s first hardware capability for dynamic triple exposure. It will also include what OPPO describes as the most powerful 200MP ultra-clear telephoto lens to date.
In collaboration with Hasselblad, the Find X9 Pro’s camera system supports 8K Ultra HD photos at all focal lengths. The series also uses OPPO’s LUMO super-pixel engine to improve detail and color.
Additionally, OPPO has also partnered with Hasselblad to create a special imaging kit for the Pro model, and has designed separate imaging accessories for the standard Find X9.
