OPPO Reno Ace 2 Poster confirms Snapdragon 865 and Quad-Rear Camera Setup

OPPO is all set to unveil their upcoming flagship, OPPO Reno Ace 2 on April 13th. There are quite a lot of leaks and rumors around this device for some time now. A few days ago Reno Ace 2 passed through TENAA which revealed its design and key specifications. The same device passed through AnTuTu with the model number PDHM00 and achieved a score of 560,217. Now, ahead of the official launch, the company shared a poster of OPPO Reno Ace 2 smartphone revealing the Quad camera setup on the back of the device. The poster also confirms that the device will be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset.

By looking at the poster, one can understand that the device sport four cameras on the back where the sensors are placed in a circular module. We have already seen a similar module on the OnePlus 7T last year. This circular module is also referred to as ‘Oreo Camera Setup’. According to the previous reports, Reno Ace 2 will adopt the 65W Super VOOC 2.0 fast charging technology from the original Ace. In addition to that, this device will also pack-in a 40-W wireless fast-charging technology as well! Recently, OPPO Reno 2 is also listed at JD.com. This Chinese retailer has uploaded the official renders of this device which revealed two of the color options along with three storage variants.

OPPO Reno Ace 2 Specifications

The OPPO Reno Ace 2 features a 6.5-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. The display refresh rate here is 120 Hz. The aspect ratio of this display is 20:9 and the pixel density is said to be 405 PPI. The display will be protected by the latest Corning’s Gorilla Glass 6. Underneath the hood, the device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC which is produced in the manufacturing process. Adreno 650 handles the graphic duties here!

As for the storages, the lower variant comes with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of onboard storage. There is also another 8 GB RAM variant but with 256 GB internal storage. The top variant will come with a whopping 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of onboard storage. None of these variants support expandable storages with SD Cards.

As for the Cameras, the Reno Ace 2 will feature a Quad Camera setup on the of the device in an Oreo set up where all the sensors are arranged in a circular module. The Primary sensor is expected to be a 48 MP sensor with f/1.7 aperture. The primary sensor will feature Optical Image Stabilization. The secondary sensor is an 8 MP Ultra-Wide sensor with f/2.2 aperture. The third sensor is a 2 Megapixel Macro unit and the fourth is expected to be a 2 MP depth-sensing unit. The 16 MP front-facing camera is housed in the form of a punch-hole display notch.

The OPPO Reno Ace 2 runs Android 10 out of the box with ColorOS 7 skin on top. ColorOS is a feature-rich UI. The device also features an optical in-display fingerprint sensor. All this is backed by a 4000 mAh battery which does support 65W Fast Charging with Super VOOC 2.0 technology and ground-breaking 40W Wireless Fast-Charging as well. Reno Ace 2 will be available in two color variants — Moon Rock Ash and Fantasy Purple.
