Xiaomi’s subsidiary Poco launched the Poco X5 and X5 Pro Europe and India just recently. Cut to now, reports are pouring in teasing the Poco X5 GT as the third model that is in the works as well. Here, India got X5 Pro only, the European market landed with both Poco X5 5G and X5 Pro 5G as well.

Poco X5 GT reportedly is in the works

According to the latest update coming from the IMDA certification website, there’s a phone with model number 23049PCD8G dubbed as Poco X5 GT in the works. The Singapore-based certification website asserts that it is a 5G phone and its listing confirms its existence and imminent launch. The listing further adds Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and NFC support to the device as well.

A similar phone bearing model number 23049PCD8I was spotted on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification website asserting that it would arrive in India as well. If that’s not all, the phone bearing model number 23049PCD8G (same as IMDA) passed TKDN certification in Indonesia as well.

Details for the same device are shrouded in mystery as of now. An IMEI website listing shows the phone to be rebranded as Redmi Note 12 Turbo. It is usual for Xiaomi to launch the same phone under two monikers across its Poco and Redmi subsidiaries. For instance, Redmi K50 Gaming in China became Poco F4 GT in India while the Poco X3 GT was rebadged as Redmi Note 10 Pro when it arrived in India.

Poco X5 GT Specifications

On the specs part, we don’t have any concrete specs sheet at the time of writing this. A little digging into the specifications revealed that we could see a Snapdragon 7 Gen 2 SoC onboard X5 GT. The storage configurations include up to 512GB of storage and 12GB of RAM although you should take it with a pinch of salt.

There’s a 6.67” AMOLED 120Hz panel, a 67W fast charging, and a 5,500mAh battery thrown onboard as well. We could see a 16MP front; and a triple 50+8+2MP rear triple camera setup. These specifications were highlighted by tipster Gadgetsdata as well.

More importantly, the Singaporean version will arrive as Poco X5 GT while the Indian variant is highly likely to be renamed. We see a lot of inclination towards the monitor Redmi Note 12 Turbo when the phone actually arrives in India.

Talking about the Poco X5 GT aka Redmi Note 12 Turbo launch date, we could see the device making its grand debut in the European and Eurasian region in the coming few months.
