After two Pro iterations, Realme is back again with vanilla Realme 13 4G as it arrived earlier today in Indonesia. Powered by Snapdragon 685 SoC, this is a LTE-supported smartphone with a 6.67” OLED panel, IP54 rating, and an under-the-display fingerprint scanner. Let’s take a deeper dive into the pricing and specs that the Realme 13 4G brings to the table.
Realme 13 4G Pricing and Availability
Realme 13 4G is priced at IDR 3,000,000 (or $185) in Indonesia for its entry-level 8GB+128GB trim. The higher 8GB+256GB trim is pegged at IDR 3,200,000/- (or $200) and will be available starting August 8th via the Realme Indonesia store. You can choose between Pioneer Green and Skyline Blue color ways.
Realme 13 4G Specifications
There are some major differences between Realme 13 4G and its Pro siblings. First up, instead of a Snapdragon 7s Gen2, the vanilla Realme 13 picks up a Snapdragon 685 SoC under the hood. It is the same chipset from Realme 12 4G meaning it doesn’t break any uptick in performance at least when the processor is concerned. The phone, due to some reason, has a vapor chamber bearing a size of 4,392mm2 so that should keep the phone cool should you end up playing die-hard AAA games (if you can).
Realme 13 4G packs in a 6.67” OLED panel made with E4 material set with a FHD+ resolution. There’s a 180Hz touch sampling and 120Hz refresh rate. The panel boasts 98% DCI-P3 coverage and rocks a peak brightness of 2,000 nits with the device.
On the optics front, Realme 13 4G packs in a 50MP Sony LYT-600 primary cam with OIS and a depth sensor (we all know it’s just to add that ‘dual camera look’ to the phone). With this contraption, you get the ability to shoot up to 1080p videos. On the front, you get a 16MP shooter making it a pretty simple camera setup out there on a budget phone.
Realme has added an IP54 rating making it resistant to water and dust (to somewhat of an extent) and yet, we got a pretty hard blow from IP64 on the Realme 12 to an IP54 on this model. It is quite intriguing since Realme 12 4G arrived just last month so yes, the Chinese smartphone maker did manage to cut back on corners to save cost.
On the battery front, we have a okayish 5,000mAh battery clubbed with 67W fast charging tech. I would say the specs are still impressive given the pricing on the table.
Moving further, we have a fingerprint reader embedded in the screen. It’s not ultrasonic but rather an optical one but given the price tag in mind, it’s one heck of a device out there. Realme 13 4G packs in dual speakers setup with Hi-Res Audio, a 3.5mm headphone jack, Realme UI 5.0 handling the software end, an additional 8GB of dynamic RAM, and a GT Mode.
