Realme has had a busy year upgrading its smartphones, releasing newer ones, and whatnot. The company has just released three new smartphones under the Realme Q3 series in China. These are new, affordable 5G-ready smartphones of which two are already up for pre-orders in China on Realme.com as well as JD and other retailers in China. The cheaper model is slated to undergo pre-orders later today.
Realme Q3 Pro
Starting with the obvious elder brother, the Realme Q3 Pro starts at CNY 1,600 which is around $245. It packs in a powerful mid-range Dimensity 1100 chipset clocked at 2.6GHz and manufactured on an 6nm node. The uses a sub-6 GHz modem for 5G connectivity offering a peak download speeds of 4.67 Gbps. It has a 128GB or 256GB UFS 3.1 storage with 8GB RAM on-board.
Moving on, the Realme Q3 Pro sports a vibrant 6.43-inch AMOLED display with a 1080p+ resolution. The display has 120Hz refresh rate and a 360Hz touch sampling rate using which, you will be completely blown away. The display is also DCI-P3 color space complaint and has a tiny punch-hole on the top-left corner housing a 16MP snapper. The rear has a triple camera setup with 64MP primary, 8MP ultrawide, and a 2MP macro sensor. The primary sensor is capable of showing 4K videos at 60fps.
Moving on, Realme Q3 Pro sports a vapor chamber which is 3,175 mm2 in size capable of dissipating heat so much so that it is advertised to lower internal temperature by up to 15-degree Celcuis.
Powering the mammoth is a 4,500 mAh battery that sits under the hood supplied with a 30W fast charging support. The Q3 Pro starts at CNY 1,600 and the sales commences on April 29 at midnight. Check out for the Firefly color variant which has a phosphorescent Dare to Leap insignia at the back.
Realme Q3 5G
Now this is the standard variant dubbed as Realme Q3 5G. It packs in Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 750G processor and a download speed of 3.7Gbps. It too has a vapor chamber that promises to lower the temperature by up to 10 percent advertised.
The display is slightly larger at 6.5-inch LCD panel with 1080p+ (although say no to AMOLED) but it does get a 120Hz refresh rate with 180Hz touch sampling rate. There’s a punch-hole cut-out on the top-left corner housing a 16MP selfie camera. The rear has a triple-camera setup with a 48MP primary plus 8MP ultrawide 119-degree FoV with a macro sensor.
It packs in a whopping 5,000 mAh battery under the hood packed with a 30W fast charging support as well. The non-Pro model gets a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for authentication, a 3.5mm headphone jack at the bottom and has a stereo speaker setup with both Hi-Res Audio and Dolby Atmos for a world-class listening experience.
Talking about the pricing, the Realme Q3 5G with 6GB RAM and 128GB starts at CNY 1,300 ($200). There’s a 8GB variant available too. The pre-orders for Realme Q3 5G commences on April 29 on Realme.com.
Realme Q3i 5G
The cheapest of the lot with 5G capability is the Realme Q3i 5G with CNY 1,000 or $155 price tag. The device packs in a Dimensity 700 SoC under the hood which has a download speed of 2.77 Gbps at peak. The display mounted on Realme Q3i 5G is a 6.5-inch 1080p+ 90Hz display with 180Hz refresh rate. It runs on the latest Android 11-flavored Realme UI 2.0 update out-of-the-box as usual.
The device has a massive 5,000 mAh battery under the hood although the charging speed has dropped to 18W. You do get a triple camera setup housing a 48MP primary with an B&W and a macro sensor. As you can see, there’s no ultrawide sensor here. The device has a 4GB/128GB variant and there’s a 6GB RAM variant too. Realme Q3i 5G is available in China for pre-orders on Realme.com.
