There’s a lot of buzz around Realme’s upcoming smartphone codenamed Koi. Apparently, it will be summoned as Realme V15 and it will arrive officially on January 7. Images of the upcoming Realme device went online with a two-colored gradient back panel that looks exceptional. According to the official launch poster released by Realme, the device will arrive on January 7 at 2 PM local time and users will get some fancy cards with it for good luck.
The fish Koi is considered with good fortune in China and thus, the name Realme Koi or now it is called Realme V15. The official launch poster doesn’t have many details about it but we do have a series of leaks that happened a few days ago w.r.t. Realme Koi although you need to take it with a pinch of salt.
The back panel of the Realme V15 (Koi) has the slogan “Dare to Leap” inscribed on it in bold letters. The device is likely to host the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor much like the upcoming Realme Race flagship series which is also arriving this month as per the sources. But hey, take it with a pinch of salt as a separate report states that the device is likely to arrive with MediaTek Dimensity 800U 5G processor on-board.
Next up, the device will arrive with a triple camera setup with a 64MP taking the helm as the primary sensor. It will have a rectangular camera setup at the back as seen in the official posters. We aren’t aware of specifications for other sensors but we do know that Realme Race is rumored to get a 64MP primary sensor as well. Finally, the device is likely to pack in an OLED display as a physical fingerprint scanner hasn’t been spotted so it is likely under the display.
According to GSMArena, Realme Koi will sport Realme’s 125W UltraDART fast charging tech capable of juicing up its 4,000 mAh battery to 41 percent in just 5 minutes. It will juice it up to its full capacity in just 20 minutes. There’s a catch here too. The Realme V15 according to a leakster @Geek_Cao on Weibo mentioned that the device is likely to have a 50W fast charging tech on-board. Thus, we have a few wrinkles to iron here.
According to a report, Realme V15 will weigh around 176 grams and it is likely to arrive with Race series as well where the latter sports a circular camera setup. Anyways, the device is reportedly listed on Tmall, Suning, and JD.com among other major retailers in China but we don’t have more information about it as well.
