Realme has released some pretty good smartphones this year. The company plans to start next year with a bang by launching the Realme X50 5G. Realme has teased some official photos of the phone in the past, which also revealed some of its specifications. As of now, it is confirmed that the phone will be powered by Snapdragon 765G mobile platform. The Realme X50 will come with an enhanced version of VOOC 4.0 fast charge, which will charge the phone from 0 to 70% in just 30 minutes. The 7nm power-efficient chipset will help the phone to achieve a battery life of up to 2 days. There’s still around a week remaining until the phone gets launched officially, and a full spec sheet of the phone has leaked online.
Specifications:
According to the leaked spec sheet, Realme X50 will be powered by Snapdragon 765G mobile platform with 5G support. The phone will have a 6.67-inch Full HD+ LCD display with a screen resolution of 2400x1080p. Interestingly, the screen comes with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. On the back, the phone has a quad-camera setup consisting of a 64 MP Samsung GW1 primary sensor with EIS, a 13 MP telephoto lens with up to 5X optical zoom, an 8 MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 2 MP macro sensor. On the front, it has 2 cameras of 32 and 8 MP. The phone comes with a 4500 mAh battery which supports VOOC 4.0 fast charging via USB Type-C port. According to the leak, the 30 Watts VOOC fast charger will charge the phone from 0 to 100% in just 55 minutes. Some other specifications include NFC, Bluetooth 5.0, Dolby Atmos, and dual-frequency GPS.
Design:
Talking about the design, the phone will have a 2.5D curved display with Gorilla Glass 5 protection, and the 3D curved back will also come with the same protection. The fingerprint scanner will be mounted on the side. The phone will be 8.7mm thick and weigh 185 grams. The phone will not be completely waterproof but will have p2i water-repellent coating for some basic protection against liquids. Thankfully, it will also retain the 3.5mm audio jack.
Price and availability:
Realme X50 will be launched in 3 storage variants. The 6+128 GB variant will be priced at 2199 Chinese Yuan, the 8+128 GB variant will be priced at 2499 Chinese Yuan, and the 8+256 GB variant will be priced at 2799 Chinese Yuan. The phone will be launched on January 7 at an event in China. Later, it will be available in other markets too.
