Realme and in fact every other smartphone manufacturer is facing the wrath of the coronavirus pandemic across the globe. Realme already had a few launches planned which it had to delay until the situation is cleared. But it has a few smartphones up its sleeves that are nearing their imminent launch. We have already spotted Realme X3 SuperZoom on Geekbench and Thai NBTC certification website among others. Apparently, there’s a new mysterious Realme device making the rounds of various certification authorities as well.

Talking about the latest update, a Realme smartphone bearing model number RMX2142 had appeared on MIIT Certification and Chinese regulatory 3C certification portal. The listing doesn’t give a lot of information except the fact the device packs in 5G and will have 30W fast charging capability.

There’s no market name for RMX2142 yet but there are certain pointers that we could assume to gauge its moniker. Apparently, Realme X3 SuperZoom has model number RMX2086 while Realme Narzo 10 (Realme 6i) sports RMX2040. Since we already know that there’s a Realme X3 SuperZoom, it couldn’t be the same but a different Realme device altogether. It is highly speculated that it could be a lower-tier Realme X3 that will pack in 5G capability probably with Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G on-board.

The Geekbench listing for Realme X3 SuperZoom confirmed that it packs in Snapdragon 855+ chipset since it mentioned ‘msmnile’ which is a codename for SD855+. Further, the device managed to score 788 points and 2,624 points on single-core and multi-core tests respectively. Next up, we know that it will pack in 12GB of RAM, it will run on Android 10 baked Realme UI and so on.

Likely, the phone that appeared recently on MIIT and ECC is probably a vanilla Realme X3 (lower-tier) or it could be a Pro variant as well. We don’t know much about the upcoming Realme X3 series yet so we will have to wait to get more intel around it.
