The upcoming phone is targeted at the budget 5G segment, and it packs standout features like a 7000mAh silicon-carbon battery, a Snapdragon processor, and a 144Hz display. Let’s take a look at what Redmi has in store for Indian consumers.
Performance and display
Under the hood, the Redmi 15 5G runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 chip, built for smooth performance and 5G support. The smartphone has a 6.9-inch Full HD+ screen with a 144Hz refresh rate, making gaming and videos look more fluid.

Camera and design
Redmi 15 5G features dual rear cameras, with a 50MP main sensor. The second lens hasn’t been confirmed yet, but reports hint at a 2MP depth or macro shooter. Up front, it’s expected to carry an 8MP selfie camera.
Despite housing a massive battery, Xiaomi claims that the Redmi 15 5G will be the slimmest smartphone with a 7000mAh battery. The phone will be available in three color variants
- Midnight Black
- Frosted White
- Sandy Purple.
Durability and battery
Along with its big battery and solid performance, the Redmi 15 5G is rumored to have an IP64 rating for dust and splash protection.
A key highlight of the Redmi 15 5G is its massive, 7000mAh battery, the first in its segment to use silicon-carbon technology. Xiaomi claims this innovation helps the battery stay 80% healthy even after four years. The phone also offers 13.5 hours of standby on just 1% charge in hibernation mode, making it ideal for users who prioritize long-lasting power.
Redmi 15 5G also supports 18W reverse wired charging, so it can power other devices when needed. Plus, with expected 33W fast charging, topping up the battery should be quick and easy.

Pricing and availability
As of now, the official price for the Indian market has not been made public. However, the Redmi 15 5G is priced at RM 699 (approx. USD 165 or ₹14,305) for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant in Malaysia. Moreover, a 6GB + 128GB model is also expected to be available at launch.
