The South Korean giant Samsung, also released the Galaxy Buds2, their new offering in the audio department, at the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2021 event hosted earlier today. These buds come along with the Galaxy Watch4 Series – the new wearable offerings, and Galaxy Z Fold3, and Z Flip3 – their new foldable devices. Samsung Galaxy Buds2 Pricing and Availability
Samsung Galaxy Buds2 will be available starting August 27 in selected markets. Its price commences at $149.99. There’s a Special Thom Browne Edition of Galaxy Buds2 available too although the prices at the time of writing this weren’t available.
Samsung Galaxy Buds2 Specifications
The next-gen Galaxy Buds2 arrives with an all-day comfort design. It fits in your snuggly and without causing any irritation. Ear tips let the user get the best experience as they can change tips based on the size of their ears.
You can choose between four color options available with the Buds2 which includes Lavender, Olive, White, and Graphics. On the other hand, the cases are painted white from the outside but you have a tonne of color choices from the insides that you can match with the buds you choose. Also, the Galaxy Buds2 is compatible with buds for Buds Pro, Buds Live, and a tonne of third-party choices you have in the market.
The Samsung Galaxy Buds2 arrives with a dynamic 2-way speakers system that counts as a woofer and a tweeter. Its Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) system is proficient enough to cancel up to 98 percent of the surrounding noise. You get 3 levels of ambient noise controls so that you can either select for a complete ANC or partially based on your requirements.
The Buds2 arrives with a *1mAh battery built-in that has been rated to last up to 5 hours as per Samsung when the ANC is enabled. You can take it to a whopping 20 hours using the charging fed to the case as well. Using buds without ANC (and charging case) will enhance the battery life by a few hours. Each bud weighs 5.0 grams and the case adds another 41.2 grams of weight. With 17×20.9×21.1mm dimensions, the Galaxy Buds2 uses Bluetooth v5.2 for connectivity. It packs in a tonne of sensors such as Hall, Touch, Proximity, Gyro, Accelerometer, and VPU.
Samsung is equipped with Galaxy Buds2 with a 3 mics system where two are beamforming located on the outer side and one on the inner side. It has a Voice Pickup Unit (VPU) attached to it for picking up quality sound. Buds2 uses machine learning solutions to enhance call clarity irrespective of the surroundings.
You can control the Buds2 with your Galaxy smartphone or use the PC, tablet, or watch thanks to the ecosystem created by Samsung. Plus, there’s AutoSwitch that dynamically connects with the host device for a seamless listening experience without the hurdle of connecting to devices when needed.
Special Edition – Samsung Galaxy Buds2 Thom Browne
Just like last year, Samsung has collaborated with fashion designer Thom Browne to create special editions of all the products launched at today’s launch event. This includes a special Thom Browne edition of Samsung Galaxy Buds2 as well.
