There was some debate on the existence of Samsung Galaxy S24 FE, but it seems like Samsung is all set to douse the fire around its mystery. Galaxy S24 FE FCC Certification Hints at Imminent Launch

Turns out the phone is en-route for launch sometime in late September or early October as the phone was recently certified by the FCC. The recent FCC listing on the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE mentions dual-band Wi-Fi 6E, NFC, 5G, Bluetooth, and up to 9W of reverse wireless charging. The phone has a dimension of 162mm of height and 77.3mm of width while the thickness remains unknown at the moment.

Model Number and Testing Details

The current version bears model number SM-S72U as pointed out by the folks at MySmartPrice. The image, as you can see, shows the phone being tested at the FCC to determine its radiation patterns. This is a part of routine tests conducted by the FCC before their phones launch.

Expected Technical Specifications

Apparently, there’s not much left in terms of hardware specifications. For instance, the phone is expected to feature an Exynos 2400 SoC in line with Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ global iterations. The phone is expected to get a triple camera setup — 50MP plus 12MP and an 8MP telephoto at the back while the front is using a 10MP shooter.

According to Android Police, the Galaxy S24 FE will probably see a 4,565mAh battery which is 65mAh larger than the Galaxy S23 FE (4,500mAh). The battery is capable of delivering 29 hours of video playback. There’s also a max wired charging at 25W plus a 9W wireless reverse charging, a major upgrade from 4.5W on previous models.

Based on Samsung’s history with the Galaxy FE series, we can expect an AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. An IP rating is also likely, though the exact details are still under wraps.
