Last month, leakster @OnLeaks (Steve Hemmerstoffer) posted high-quality high-resolution renders for Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 that we will recap in a bit. Today, we got our hands on high-resolution renders for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 that now comes with some major redesigns that we have accounted for below.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 High-Res Renders Uncovered

Talking about Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5, the first look bears it all. The high-res renders show a giant cover display which now extends to almost 50% of the exterior panel instead of taking a tiny screen real estate. It is at 3.2” instead of 1.9” on the Flip4. The enhanced cover display size should allow users to get most of their foldable Flip5 without unfolding it in the first place.

Samsung is likely to keep Galaxy Z Flip5 in line with the Galaxy S23 series. Z Flip5 brings a squared-off side that looks magnificent by the way. There’s not much of a design except for these things. We can still see a dual camera setup at the back minus a camera bump, there’s a punch-hole cut-out on the interior display housing the front selfie shooter.

The phone will enjoy dimensions of 165×71.8×6.7mm when unfolded. It is still 0.2mm thinner than the predecessor thanks to the waterdrop hinge design that the upcoming Flip5 will bring onboard. There’s a power plus fingerprint sensor, USB-C port, and a bottom-firing speaker among others similar to the predecessor.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 is likely to get a whopping Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC under the hood. Again, this will make it in line with the Galaxy S23 series which too houses the same SoC.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 High-Res Renders Leaked

OnLeaks posted high-res renders for Galaxy Z Fold5 as well. It carries a dimension of 154.9×129.9×6.1mm thanks to the courtesy of Ice Universe. The phone is thinner at 13.5mm compared to 14.2~15.8mm on the previous models.

Next up, the outer display remains the same at 6.2” with the inner at 7.6mm and with smaller bezels. The phone will get a triple camera setup arranged in a vertical stack housed in a camera bump with a flash LED adjoining it.

Coming to the last bit of information that we have, both the Galaxy Z Fold5 and Z Flip5 are expected to make their launch sometime in July or August this year. There are no concrete dates available at the moment but we are hoping that we will soon get to hear about the launch dates and other details soon.
