South Korean juggernaut released a slew of smartphones on its March 4th launch event in the Galaxy A and Galaxy M series. Talking about the A-series, new devices added to the roster are Samsung Galaxy A13 And Galaxy A23. Here’s more about the duo.
Samsung Galaxy A13 (4G): Specifications, Pricing & More
For context, this is a 4G variant whereas there’s a 5G variant available in the market already. The 4G-powered Samsung Galaxy A13 (4G) packs in a 6.6” TFT V-Cut LCD 1080×2408 pixels resolution with a 60Hz refresh rate and 20:9 aspect ratio. Comparatively, the 5G variant has a lower resolution but with a higher refresh rate.
The device runs on Exynos 850 SoC clocked at a max 2.0GHz with Mali-G52 MP1 GPU. There’s 3/4/6GB RAM and 32/64/128GB of internal storage options available with the Samsung Galaxy A13 4G as well. There’s Android 12-powered OneUI 4.1 as the software under the hood as well. The device at 195grams with a plastic body. It has dimensions of 165.1×76.4×8.8mm.
About the optics, it carries a 50MP primary sensor, a 5MP ultrawide, and two 2MP macro and depth sensors onboard. Turns out the ultrawide sensor is not available on the 5G variant which means both the variants have differences more than the modem specs. You will also find an 8MP selfie shooter onboard as well.
Next up, we have a 5,000mAh battery on the go with 25W charging tech which is surprisingly higher than the 5G model which had a 15W fast charging tech. There’s 150Mbps upload and 300Mbps of max download speeds.
Samsung Galaxy A13 4G is available in the Netherlands for pre-orders retailing at EUR190 for 4GB+64GB and 4+128GB at EUR210.
Samsung Galaxy A23: Specifications, Pricing & More
Samsung Galaxy A23 4G packs in specifications including a 6.6” TFT 1080×2408 pixels V-Cut panel with 8MP selfie camera onboard. You will get a Gorilla Glass 5 protection on top as well.
Turns out Samsung hasn’t mentioned any details regarding the processor just yet which is surprising. We do know that a Dimensity SoC works under the hood but we can’t say the exact chipset for sure. It has 4/6/8GB RAM and 64/128GB of internal storage onboard and runs on OneUI 4.1 based on Android 12 out-of-the-box.
About the optics onboard, the Galaxy A13 4G rear quad-camera setup looks more like Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra i.e. without the camera bump. We have a 50MP selfie cam, a 5MP ultrawide cam (a drop from 8MP on A22), and two 2MP auxiliary shooters for macro and depth. An 8MP selfie shooter is also watered-down from 13MP on A22.
The battery capacity remains unchanged at 5000mAh paired with a speedier 25W fast charging tech (up from 15W on Galaxy A22). All other features are it the WiFi or Bluetooth among others remain the same.
Talking about the pricing and availability, Samsung hasn’t confirmed neither of the details at least at the time of writing this.
