Samsung Electronics has announced plans to expand its premium Samsung Micro RGB TV lineup in 2026, adding more screen sizes and upgrading display and audio technologies. The company says this step responds to rising demand for higher picture quality and immersive home entertainment experiences.

Samsung says the expanded Micro RGB lineup will include 55-, 65-, 75-, 85-, 100- and 115-inch models, serving both small homes and large viewing rooms. This announcement builds on the 115-inch Micro RGB TV that Samsung launched in 2025.

Samsung Electronics stated the 2026 lineup is the next step for its Micro RGB tech. Hun Lee, Samsung VD Business Vice President, said the bigger portfolio aims to create a new premium category in the company’s TV lineup.

“Using Samsung’s latest tech, our Micro RGB portfolio provides vivid color and clarity, making movies, sports, and shows feel more exciting,” Lee said. “By growing the 2026 lineup, we’re creating a new premium category with sizes for all modern homes while keeping our top picture standards.”

Micro RGB technology and independent LED control

At the core of the lineup is Samsung Micro RGB technology, which uses red, green, and blue LEDs smaller than 100 micrometers. Each LED emits light independently, allowing for precise light control and improved color accuracy compared with conventional LED backlighting systems.

Samsung explained that this architecture enables finer color expression and improved brightness management across different scenes. The company has paired the hardware with advanced picture-processing features, including 4K AI Upscaling Pro and AI Motion Enhancer Pro, designed to refine clarity and smooth motion in real time.

These features are intended to enhance both native 4K content and lower-resolution sources, according to Samsung.

Next-generation AI processing and color performance

The 2026 Samsung Micro RGB lineup will also introduce the Micro RGB AI Engine Pro, powered by a next-generation AI chipset. Samsung says the processor analyzes content on a frame-by-frame basis to improve realism and detail.

Additional features include Micro RGB Color Booster Pro and Micro RGB HDR Pro, which aim to deliver brighter highlights, deeper contrast and more vivid colors. Samsung noted that its Micro RGB Precision Color 100 technology has been certified by VDE, achieving 100% coverage of the BT.2020 wide color gamut, a standard commonly used to measure color performance in premium displays.

This certification indicates that the displays are capable of reproducing the full range of colors defined by the BT.2020 specification.

Smart features and Vision AI Companion

Samsung is also expanding its smart TV capabilities alongside display improvements. The upgraded Vision AI Companion platform integrates large language model (LLM)-based intelligence with Bixby voice control, enabling conversational search, interactive questions and proactive content recommendations.

According to Samsung, the platform provides access to AI-driven features and apps such as Live Translate, Generative Wallpaper and Perplexity. These tools are designed to enhance personalization and usability rather than replace traditional navigation methods.

Glare reduction and enhanced audio

To handle viewing in bright rooms, Samsung confirmed that 2026 Micro RGB models will include its special Glare Free tech. The company says this cuts reflections while keeping color accuracy and contrast under different lighting.

Audio upgrades are also part of the deal. The new lineup will support Dolby Atmos for 3D sound, Adaptive Sound Pro for room-tuned audio, and Q-Symphony, which syncs TV speakers with matching Samsung sound gear. Samsung also announced that all 2026 TVs will have Eclipsa Audio, a spatial sound system made to provide immersive 3D audio.

CES 2026 showcase planned

Samsung plans to publicly show the larger Samsung Micro RGB lineup at CES 2026, held from Jan. 6–9 in Las Vegas. The firm said its spot at the event will show its focus on top-tier display tech across a wider variety of screen sizes.
