Most of us thought that the Galaxy Note 7 would be the last of its lineup but it does seem like the Note 8 is gonna come out later this year. As of a few days ago, we barely knew anything about it besides the fact that it’ll come with an infinity display but today we have a few more interesting details.
We’ve got pricing details and specifications of the phone from Evan Blass at VentureBeat. He reports that the Galaxy Note 8 will be priced at roughly €999, which is the highest price point Samsung has ever put up for smartphones. Just like how the S8 was priced at €999 and $725, we assume that it’ll be a similar case for the Note 8 with $925. He also says that the phone will be making its way during the second half of September.
As per our expectation, the Galaxy Note 8 will most likely ship with a 6.3-inch 18.5:9 screen with the same “Infinity Display” as on the Galaxy S8’s. It seems like the internal specifications of the phone will remain pretty much the same so it’s up to Samsung to explain it’s $100 increase in price by adding quite a few extra features.
Getting deeper into the specifications, the phone will be powered by Snapdragon 835, coupled with 6 GB of RAM. It’s one of the very Samsung devices to have surpassed 4GB of RAM which is definitely a warm welcome. All this extra power should result to a smooth experience with Samsung’s DeX dock which will most likely work with the Note 8. The report further talks about the smartphone’s camera, talking about how the Galaxy Note 8 will be the first one to jump into the whole dual-camera bandwagon. We quite don’t know how the sensors
The report further talks about the smartphone’s camera, talking about how the Galaxy Note 8 will be the first one to jump into the whole dual-camera bandwagon. We quite don’t know how the sensors will be used but it will apparently be a pair of 12 MP cameras stacked horizontally to the left of the heart rate sensor and flash. The fingerprint sensor once again will be placed right beside the sensor and the flash.
They further state that the phone will be rocking a 3,300 mAh battery which is considerably smaller as compared to the Galaxy S8+ which is actually smaller in size. It’s a bit disappointing to see such a huge phone with a small battery but let’s not forget what the large battery on the Note 7 led to last year.
