Samsung has collaborated with The Commons Project to make it easier for Galaxy users to carry around their vaccination records. This co-venture allows people with a Samsung Galaxy device to add their vaccination certification within the Samsung Pay app.

Since Samsung Pay is quite a huge network and a means of payment in the US, adding something as vital as one’s vaccination record only makes sense. This collaboration makes it easier for people to verify their vaccination certification in places like airports, hospitals, or any trusted workplace. The Commons Project Foundation has announced that Samsung users can download a verifiable digital version of their Covid-19 vaccine record from the CommonHealth app available for free on the Google Play Store.
For now, the feature will only be made available on a select set of Samsung devices, but this will soon be made available to other models. Once set up, the vaccination details show up within the Samsung Pay app. Your vaccine records can also be shared with trusted parties using a QR code that can be found within the Samsung Pay app.
How to add your vaccine records to Samsung Pay
Adding your vaccine certification to Samsung Pay is quite straightforward. If you have a supported Galaxy device, simply follow the steps below:
- Download the CommonHealth app on your Samsung Galaxy device from the Google Play Store.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to access your Covid-19 vaccine certification.
- Tap on the “Add to Samsung Pay” button.
- Launch the Samsung Pay app and you should now see a smart card with your vaccination details present!
