If you are scratching your head thinking about the date for Samsung’s next flagship launch event this year, we might have something for you. Based on a few previous pointers and the latest update, it is highly likely that Samsung could hold its next ‘Unpacked’ launch event on February 11, 2020.

On Friday, host, and writer at XDA Developers, Max Weinbach, found a video that was originally tweeted by Twitterati @water8192 which reportedly comes directly from Samsung’s official Vimeo page.

According to Weinbach, the leaked promo for the upcoming event was posted by Samsung on its official Vimeo channel which was reportedly removed. Although the video was unlisted by the South Korean giant, Vimeo recommends it when watching videos and that is when the tipster got the promo on Samsung’s press page. Weinbach took a copy of the video before it could be deleted and contacted Samsung but to no avail.

Anyway, talking about the video, the 15-seconds video is as vague as it can be. It showcases the letters “Glxy” while the two “A’s” are replaced by two oblong objects swirling in the video as if there’s a cloth on it and finally, two symbols or signs appear at the two places. According to CNET, this signifies that Samsung will probably launch two smartphone lineups.

This includes its Samsung Galaxy S11 lineup that will have at least three smartphones namely Galaxy S11, Galaxy S11+, and Galaxy S11e. Rumors have it that the South Korean giant is likely to name the upcoming flagship devices as Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+, Galaxy S20e respectively. Apparently, Samsung is likely to introduce the Galaxy S20 series this year to celebrate the year 2020 since it has already launched ten series of Galaxy S-series smartphones and it is entering a new decade.

Apart from that, the second box is probably for the rumored Samsung Galaxy Fold 2. The upcoming phone is likely to have a tall and foldable display that will fold inwards similar to Motorola Razr and will appear as a square when folded.

Samsung is most likely to launch the Galaxy S11/S20 series and Galaxy Fold 2 on February 11, 2020, or if not, a second rumored date is February 18, 2020, although the former seems befitting. The South Korean giant showcased its flagship smartphones at MWC a few years ago, however, it resorted to having its launch event and this year won’t be any different. MWC 2020 is the largest mobile show of the year and it will take place between February 24 and 27 so expect Samsung to release both the devices before MWC 2020.
