Not so long ago, the AnTuTu benchmark score for Samsung’s latest Exynos 1080 made a buzz on the internet. Cut to now, a leakster by the name of Abhishek Yadav got the hold of AnTuTu scores for the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 875 with the codename Lahaina.

Apparently, Lahaina aka Snapdragon 875 scored 847,868 points on AnTuTu. To put things into perspective, this means the upcoming flagship chipset is 25% faster than the Snapdragon 865 SoC with Vivo iQOO 5 Pro taking the highest position of 663,000 points.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 875 is reportedly manufactured using a 5nm manufacturing process bumping up both power efficiency and performance compared to the existing 7nm node. It will be launched with cores with the new ARM design and will include Cortex-X1 and Cortex-A78 CPUs. It will have an arrangement of 1+3+4 as per a tweet by leakster Ice Universe.

On the contrary, the Kirin 9000 that was released with the flagship Huawei Mate 40 Pro sports an AnTuTu score of 696,000 points while the heavily teased Exynos 1080 chipset boost benchmarking score of 693,000 points. Note that Exynos 1080 is a mid-range chipset that is housed in the mid-range lineup. The AnTuTu scores for Snapdragon 875 even outrun Apple’s A14 Bionic SoC’s score of 565,000 points.

It remains to be seen how Snapdragon 875 combats against the upcoming flagship Exynos 2100 that will make it into the Galaxy S21 (or S30) lineup. Coming back to Snapdragon 875, the chipset with built-in X60 5G modem is highly likely to launch on December 1 at the Snapdragon Tech Summit Digital 2020 although the launch date is yet to be officially confirmed.
