Sony has been in the news from a long time now and this is not because they have made a great smartphone or something. Well, they did make a good smartphone which was named as the Sony Xperia 1 Mark II but the problem is that the phone seems to be overpriced for the value it offers even though the specifications are decent. But the main reason they are being spoken about a lot and rightly so is because of their pair of headphones which are the Sony WH1000XM3 from last year.

First things first, we do know and agree that the naming system is awkward but if you want a simplification then it stands for WH-wireless headphones, 1000X- series name and the M3- mark III. It is known that these headphones offered the best noise-cancelling in the market of any headphones beating the likes of Bose who were market leaders in this department before Sony’s arrival.

Now, the company has made things even better to improve on their already great pair of headphones with the release of Sony Mark IIII, to simplify things. The name still remains to be Sony WH1000XM4 but you can simply call it the Mark 4 or the 4th generation and that should be fine.

The complaint that users had about the Sony XM3 was that it did not have multiple device support meaning you could only connect to one device at a time. This meant that if you were using a desktop, laptop and phone then you needed to connect your headphones to every device separately rather than seamless switching.

You would be happy to note that this problem has now been fixed as Sony has allowed support for two devices at the same time with the XM4s. Not only that, Sony has also improved the best-in-class noise cancellation technology to make it even better. On top of that, the price remains to be same as last year which is $349.99 and while some would have hoped for a $50 decrease in pricing, Sony knows that they are leaders so why would they.

Not to worry though because we usually see some great offers during the Prime Day sale on Amazon or some special offers on Best Buy or Target and it is usually on sale during the holiday season so you can grab them up for less. As for availability, you will get these headphones from mid-August but the exact dates have not been revealed yet.
