Yesterday, we told you about the upcoming OnePlus 7 Pro’s tagline “Go Beyond Speed” after an image was leaked on Slashleaks and Weibo. Well, this confirmed that there is a OnePlus 7 Pro in the making although the moniker could potentially change but anyhow, this confirms previous reports that there are at least three smartphones waiting in the pipeline to launch next month namely OnePlus 7, OnePlus 7 Pro, and OnePlus 7 Pro 5G.

As of now, we do know that the Chinese flagship OEM will launch successors to last year’s OnePlus 6T in May, we didn’t know the exact date so far. But based on the word of a trusted tipster Ishan Aggarwal who has a reputation that follows, said that OnePlus will launch at least two smartphones i.e. OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro on May 14, 2019, which goes in-line with the previous launches that OnePlus has made for a few years now. OnePlus hasn’t yet confirmed any details on its upcoming smartphones yet but we do know a few basic details regarding OnePlus 7.

Based on accounts of previous leaks, we do know that the upcoming OnePlus 7 will sport a large 6.67-inch Super Optic AMOLED display which is bigger than OnePlus 6T. The device will run on a Snapdragon 855 octa-core processor with 8GB/256GB as it’s base internal configuration. About the optics, the device will boast a single pop-up front camera module while the rear will have a triple-camera array arranged with 48+16+8MP sensors and no ToF or depth sensor.

We can expect a slightly larger battery than the 3,700 mAh that came with OnePlus 6T. On the other hand, OnePlus 7 Pro 5G will sport Snapdragon X50 5G modem backed by what we could expect a decent 4,000-ish mAh battery since every smartphone with 5G launched this year has a large battery pack to provide backup to the latest high-speed 5G network. Again, there is no hard evidence that OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro will launch on May 15 but Ishan has a good reputation and since he is clearly not showcasing the source, let’s say that you can take this global launch date with a pinch of salt.
