Vi hikes mobile tariffs across plans by 20% from July 4

Airtel and Reliance Jio rolled out their revised mobile tariffs a few days ago and it seems Vi doesn’t want to stay behind. Vi has hiked tariffs by up to 20% with as much as an INR 500/- jump. You can check out revised prices from as low as INR 20/- above old pricing to as much as a massive INR 500/- jump on the yearly plan that sits at a revised INR 3,499/-.

Vi (Vodafone Idea) has consistently and significantly improved its 4G experiences and is heading towards 5G services as well. There’s a tonne of add-ons, data rollovers, and unlimited night data that you can check out.

Vi rolls out updated mobile tariffs across prepaid and postpaid plans

Mobile tariffs for Vi postpaid plans have seen a hike as well that will be effective from July 4 across the prepaid and postpaid portfolio. Here, the users will see the revised pricing the next time they go on for the recharge while those with postpaid plans will see that reflected starting with the next monthly billing cycle. 

Talking about postpaid plans, the INR 401/- plan with 50GB of data has been revised to INR 451/-; the INR 501/- plan with 90GB of data (monthly) has been revised to INR 551/-. There’s also access to a series of OTT services, and unlimited data access during nights that you will find as part of these postpaid plans.

The Family postpaid plans with two and four lines have become a tad bit expensive as well. We see the two-line plan with 70GB data for 1st number and 40GB for 2nd at INR 701/- after a sharp increase from 601/-. Similarly, the four-line family postpaid plan with 140GB for 1st user and 40GB for others has been hiked to INR 1,201/- (originally, it was INR 1,001/-.
