Vivo X200 Pro and vivo X200 Pro Mini design and camera have been revealed as part of the much-awaited vivo X200 series. Vivo has already shared exciting updates regarding both design and cameras. Building on the massive success of the X100 series, the brand is once again partnering with ZEISS optics to offer users an unparalleled photography experience.

Vivo X200 Pro and Vivo X200 Pro Mini design

The Vivo X200 Pro and Vivo X200 Pro mini are a very refined sight to behold, boasting a sleek micro-quadruple design and a small straight-screen layout with ultra-narrow borders and rounded corners. The ZEISS master color screen and 2160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming of the X200 series are expected to bring you excellent quality with less strain on your eyes while viewing.

Camera upgrades

One of the outstanding features in Vivo X200 Pro’s camera is the inclusion of the 135mm telephoto portrait lens. Eventually, five major focal lengths of the X100 series – 24mm, 35mm, 50mm, 85mm, and 100mm – are complemented by this one. So with that addition, there is improvement in portrait photography, but it also brought along a telephoto macro lens for enhancing the possibility of lens switching.

Also, video capabilities are going to be impressive with 4K 120fps slow-motion recording, full-focus 10-bit log, and backlit portrait video in 4K. As a result, features like that promise greater exposure control in challenging lighting situations for obtaining clean, sharp subject focus with backlighting.

Both the X200 Pro and X200 Pro mini will apparently be equipped with a 200MP periscope telephoto camera (85mm focal length, f/2.67) and the Vivo x Sony LYT-818 1/1.28″ main camera. The Pro mini variant also includes a 70mm periscope lens, offering versatile camera options across the range. Here are some sample of Mount Everest shot on the X200 with 20x zoom, to highlight the phone’s incredible zoom capabilities.

Performance and software

The Vivo X200 Pro series will be powered by the upcoming MediaTek Dimensity 9400 SoC, with the company highlighting its full integration of hardware and software, promising superior performance. The V3+ chip is standard across the lineup, further enhancing camera processing capabilities.

In addition, the X200 series will ship with OriginOS 5, offering a local language model (LLM), which can operate with AI tasks of up to 3 billion parameters, thus properly balancing performance, privacy, and AI functionality. The new OS will be made public at the VDC event on 10 October.

Battery technology

Vivo has made significant improvements to battery technology, including increasing the silicon content by 5%, resulting in the highest energy density in the industry. This enhancement allows for a thinner battery without sacrificing capacity. The new semi-solid low-temperature battery performs exceptionally well in freezing conditions, maintaining functionality even at -20°C.
