Vivo X60 and X60 Pro Announced with Exynos 1080 and Gimbal Camera

A couple of weeks ago, we got the official renders of Vivo X60-series via Vivo’s China Online store, where they accidentally put the listing live before the official release. And finally, today, Vivo officially announced Vivo X60 and X60 Pro with a ton of specifications like Exynos 1080, the old gimbal cameras Carl Zeiss, etc.

Although, we already have a couple of leaks from the Chinese microblogging site Weibo like the live images of the devices, most of the physical specifications of the smartphone. Vivo, right now only announced the Vivo X60 and X60 Pro, but as per a few leaks and rumors, Vivo is supposed to launch another X60-series smartphone, most probably X60 Pro+ with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC.

Vivo X60 Series Specification

Both the Vivo X60 and X60 Pro features a beautiful looking 6.56-inch AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. The display has a screen resolution of 2376×1080 pixels and a pixel density of ~398 PPI, with HDR10+ support. The display has a small punch-hole on the top-center of the smartphone which houses the selfie camera.

Under the hood, both the smartphone is powered by the 2.8 GHz octa-core Exynos 1080 SoC backed up with Mali-G78 GPU for better graphical performance. X60 Pro only comes with a single 12GB RAM and 256GB storage configuration, whereas X60 comes in two different 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variants.

Vivo X60 Pro comes in a quad-camera setup at the rear and a single punch-hole camera setup at the front. The quad-camera setup includes a primary 48-megapixel sensor with an aperture of f/1.6, PDAF and gimbals OIS, a secondary 8-megapixel periscope telephoto sensor with an aperture of f/3.4 and 5x optical zoom up to 60x digital zoom, a tertiary 13-megapixel depth sensor with an aperture f/2.5 and 2x optical zoom, and finally a 13-megapixel ultrawide sensor with an aperture of f/2.2, and 120˚ degrees viewing angle. In the front, the smartphone houses a 32-megapixel selfie camera in the hole-punch cutout.

Vivo X60 features a triple rear camera setup, which includes a primary 48-megapixel sensor with an aperture of f/1.6, PDAF and gimbals OIS, and a couple of 13-megapixel sensors which features a telephoto sensor and an ultrawide sensor. In the front, the smartphone houses a 32-megapixel selfie camera in the hole-punch cutout.

Vivo X60 is fueled by a 4,200mAh battery whereas X60 Pro is fueled by a 4,300mAh battery which can be charged using the 33-watt charger included in the box. Both the smartphones run on OriginOS on top of Android 10. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.1, USB Type-C, and all the basic sensors like fingerprint (under display, optical), accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, color spectrum.

Vivo X60 Series Pricing

From today onwards, both Vivo X60 and X60 Pro will be available for pre-order. The base 8GB RAM + 128GB variant costs CNY 3,500 and the top 8GB RAM + 256 GB variant is priced at CNY 3,800. The Vivo X60 Pro’s single 12GB RAM + 256GB variant is available with a price tag of CNY 4,500.
