If you are annoyed with spam messages that the participants in a group send daily and spoil the basic purpose of the group, this is the update you are waiting from WhatsApp. The messaging app has been adding quite a few features regularly to improve the user experience of the app, these small features increase the popularity of the messaging app. Recently WhatsApp has released an update called predicted upload and it was a pretty proficient update.
The new update is called the Send messages and let you slam the members of the group out of the chit-chat as long you are the admin. They will be able to read the conversation but won’t be able to send anything.
How to enable Send Messages in Whatsapp
So, basically to enable the new feature the group administrator has to go into the group info setting and smash the send messages tab and then hit Admins only after which only admins will be able to send messages to the group and others would not be able to take part in the convo.
The new feature is available for Android, iOS, and windows as well though you might have to wait for the update a bit as they send the updates in bundles. The updated version for iPhone is 2.18.70, and for Android users, it is version 2.18.201. Though as WABetainfo says the update is rolling out for beta users as of now and the stable version will be released slowly. Apple and Windows users would be able to relish the update a bit early and faster than the android users.
This could be a really helpful feature for large groups as they go off topic because of large no. of participants in the group and sometimes important messages get scrawl down due to lots of spam. The feature is also available on WhatsApp web once you had updated the version on your smartphone.
