- Xiaomi 15 specs leak appears on Chinese microblogging website Weibo.
- Xiaomi 15 will bring onboard a 1.5K LTPO panel, 50MP triple rear camera and a next-gen battery tech.
- Xiaomi 15 series will be the first to host Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC as it has reserved the first launch rights with Qualcomm.
Xiaomi 15 Series is due to arrive in mid-October this year as the first to sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC. Well, we have already seen the Xiaomi 15 Pro appear in multiple leaks and now, we just got hits on the regular Xiaomi 15 press out of China.
Xiaomi 15 Specs Tipped
Reputed tipster Digital Chat Station (DCS) posted leaked Xiaomi 15 specs on Weibo giving us most of the information we’d need. The post mentions a 1.5K resolution LTPO OLED flat panel although shy away from hinting at the screen size. If the Chinese smartphone maker follows the steps of its predecessor, Xiaomi 15 will see a 6.36” display with a punch-hole cut-out.
On the optics front, we have three sensors. It includes a 50MP primary 1/1.3” snapper, a 50MP ultrawide, and there will be a 50MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom as well. Reports suggest all these sensors will have a larger aperture to accommodate more light and thus, better image quality. It also mentions a stereo speaker setup onboard along with a good vibration motor for haptic feedback.
As mentioned a million times already, Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro will be the first to appear with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC due to release in October at the Snapdragon Summit. It will be clubbed with 16GB RAM plus 1TB storage possibly hinting at the top shelf in terms of storage capacities. We should get multiple storage variants once the phone officially makes it to the public.
Corroborating with previous leaks, Xiaomi 15 will pick up an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner joining the ranks of Samsung. The upcoming OnePlus 13 will see a move to an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner as well.
Apart from that, we could see Xiaomi 15 at least in white and black colorways. There are rumors that we could see both glass back and leatherback variants too although that remains to be seen. The Chinese smartphone maker is also working on a next-gen battery pack for the Xiaomi 15 series that should show slight (at least) improvement in backup and durability while consuming the same space as earlier.

Xiaomi 15 Release Date
Xiaomi is set to launch at least three phones i.e., the standard Xiaomi 15 that we discussed extensively above, the Xiaomi 15 Pro, and the Xiaomi 15 Ultra. Turns out Xiaomi 14 and 14 Ultra made it to the global markets skipping Pro altogether. If that’s even remotely true in the case of the upcoming flagship series, we could see the same happening here as well.
As per the Xiaomi 15 release dates are concerned, the standard and Pro versions are slated for a mid-October debut while the Ultra will arrive a bit later. We should see the Xiaomi 15 series (consisting of two or three models) arrive at global markets earlier next year.
